![]() No one likes rules, but even we have to admit they are there for a reason. We will assume that submission of an application is accepting the rules and regulations for this game. Any infraction will receive a warning, and a second transgression will be dealt with as either a termination or third strike, depending on the situation. But just like baseball, three strikes and you’re out, even we can only be so lenient. If anything sounds harsh, don’t worry, we believe in due process for all so no one will ever be kicked out without notice or unfairly fired. It all boils down to three basic rules. Hopefully these things are common sense, but in case they're not, here's a quick overview. 1. Respect Players Be cool, Sodapop. Everyone is in this to have fun. Drama should be left outside. Just as you'd like to have a fun and relaxed game, so would others. So please keep IC issues IC only. If a character doesn't like or disagrees with another this is not to be a reflection on player feelings. And vice versa. If things do get out of hand, see the mods immediately so we can figure it all out and move on with the fun stuff. 2. Respect the Game If you build it, they will come. It's while we're all here, after all. The love of the game, right? So be nice to the game. You all know what should be done, we shouldn't have to tell you. Be real and true to your characters, keep in character while in any IC areas and do research if it's needed. Be active and around. We don't want to have to start cracking the whip too often just to keep people active but we will. What it boils down to is the more active EVERYONE is the more active and interesting the game will be. 3. Respect the Language Good grammar costs nothing. Yup, the grammar rule. This is a writing based game, so it stands to reason there should be some writing standards. Now, we know no one is perfect. Most of us wouldn't be able to define a 'split infinitive' for you if our life depended on it (shush, English majors) but that's not an excuse for skipping over the little things. Use a spell check, double check your stuff before posting and make sure you get the basics down. If you don't know the difference between you're and your at this point take the crash course first. |
